How long does it take to get set up?
Most portfolios are running the same day. Create your workspace, then use the AI import to bring in your properties, units, residents, and leases from a spreadsheet or an export from your current software. Every import is staged for your review before it commits, and can be rolled back with one click afterward.
Can I import from Buildium, AppFolio, Yardi, or Excel?
Yes. The importer accepts CSV and Excel exports from any system. It profiles your columns, proposes field mappings for your approval, runs quality checks, and shows you exactly what will be created before anything is written.
Does the free trial require a credit card?
No. The 14-day trial is completely free and includes every feature of the Professional plan plus a seeded demo portfolio to explore. You only enter payment details if you decide to subscribe.
Is my data isolated from other companies?
Yes. Every organization's data — properties, residents, financials, documents, users — is scoped to that organization at the database level, enforced on every API request, and covered by an audit log.
Does CloudX do real accounting?
Yes — a full general ledger with a configurable chart of accounts, journal entries, AR, AP, and property-level financials. It's double-entry accounting, not a simplified checkbook.
What about online rent payments and e-signatures?
Online payments, e-signatures, and tenant screening integrations are in active development on the public roadmap. We list features honestly: if it's labeled roadmap, it's not in the product yet.
How does the AI work, and can it change my data on its own?
The AI analyst answers questions by querying your live data. The voice assistant can draft actions, but anything that writes data is proposed first and executes only after you approve it — every proposal and decision is audited.
Can I export my data or leave?
Always. CSV export is built in, and you can request a complete export or account deletion at any time. We want customers who stay because the product is good, not because leaving is hard.
How many team members can I add?
Unlimited users on every plan. Pricing scales by units under management, not by seats — your accountant, leasing agent, and maintenance coordinator all get their own logins and roles.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your workspace pauses — nothing is deleted. Pick a plan to continue exactly where you left off, or contact us and we'll export your data.
